Forest Experience and Forest Instruction
Forest experience programs such as forest walking and stethoscope-listening to tree are provided for visitors to experience the mistery of forest and learn the importance of life.
Forest Culture Program
Forests are there for us as a home for beautiful poems and music as well as for meditation. Diverse cultural contents are designed by different properties of each forest : traditional Korean paper experience; mineral water tour; Korean kin sauna; healing forests, traditional folk games; wood handcraft; forest music concerts; and other characterized cultural activities.
Forest bathing along the walking paths is one of the biggest attractions of natural recreation forests. Phytoncide emitted from trees is known to have a far higher germicidal power than other antibiotics. Sunbathing in forests boosts the synthesis of Vitamin D and the hormone activation of serotonin which influences the feeling of happiness. Fresh air in forests consists of oxygen concentrations four times higher than that of the urban atmosphere, thereby offering a healthy relaxing space.
The National Natural Recreation Forest Office serves to create and improve beneficial forests in which the people can enjoy healthy pastime activities. Visitors can enjoy mountain marathons, mountain cycling, paragliding and other leports along hiking trails well-arranged in natural recreation forests.
Forest Education Program
Forest education programs help visitors take a renewed look at flowers and insects which are often overlooked unintentionally and reconnect with forests which are always there but often unrecognized . These programs offer good opportunities not only to learn names of flowers and insects and also to think over the significance of forest and its benefits.
